Faq’s
When is your “wedding season”? Are you open year-round?
White House Weddings and Events is an outdoor venue in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. As such, we are subject to four seasons and only accept bookings April through October. We highly recommend renting a tent in case of rainy weather.
Do you offer any event planning or day-of coordination?
Yes, we have an in-house wedding coordinator who is available for as little or as much as you need for your event.
Is there a space for the bride to get ready onsite?
While our venue is outdoors, we do have an indoor bridal room and indoor bathrooms.
Is parking available?
There is a private 18-spot parking lot for the venue, as well as nearby public parking lots.
Do you offer bar service or catering?
We are a venue only, but that means you have full flexibility to hire the caterer that best fits your budget and tastes.
Do you offer any lodging for the bride and groom or wedding party?
While we do not have lodging on our site, there is a beautiful vacation rental right next door that sleeps up to 11 guests in five bedrooms. You can view the rental property at https://www.vacasa.com/unit/19904.
What is your guest capacity?
Our guest capacity depends on your event. For an outdoor ceremony and reception, our capacity is 150 guests. For outdoor reception only, our capacity is 250 guests.
Capacity is limited inside. For indoor ceremonies, our capacity is 24 guests. There is no room inside for a reception.
Do you have any indoor space for ceremonies?
Yes, we have two indoor spaces for smaller wedding ceremonies.
For weddings up to 24 guests, space is available inside the White House.
For weddings up to 80 guests, space is available in our nearby Fort Sherman Chapel. The Chapel is the oldest building in Coeur d'Alene and is just one block from Lake Coeur d'Alene. It is loaded with simple charm and beauty.
Do you provide tables, chairs, linens, etc.?
Tables and chairs are included with certain packages. For hourly rentals, you are responsible for your own event rental needs. We work primarily with EventRents, but you are more than welcome to work with whichever rental company you prefer.
What is your base rental fee?
Our full wedding package starts at $3,500 for a rental from 10 am to 9 pm.
Elopement packages start at $500 for weddings with 24 or less guests.
For reception-only weddings or other custom packages, rentals are done by the hour at $250/hour.
What is included in the rental?
Amenities for Full Wedding Packages include:
- Exclusive access to the grounds (lawn and patio) and gazebo
- Tables & chairs (up to ~150)
- A bridal dressing suite
- Indoor on-site restrooms, and
- A venue concierge.
Can our guests go through the museum exhibits?
Yes, you can absolutely add on museum experiences for your guests to create a truly unique and memorable event for all ages.
Add-ons include:
- Admission to museum exhibit galleries
- Photos with our 1943 WWII Farragut Naval Training Station fire truck
- Gold panning in our mining sluice
